Hi All...Finally grabbed the Bull By the Horns!
It seems to be the theme of late. Monday (Nov 14th) I turn 40. I've been doing alot of questioning lately...thought I'd answer a few. So... Here Goes!

I bought a digital camara in July 2005. I feel that's when I got into photography, even though I've wasted my share of disposable camaras and the like.
It's funny...even though I haven't had my camara long, my friends know how much I love taking pictures.
The question they ask me is WHERE is your camara (not far for sure)
I carry my camara, like most everyone here, to capture on disk what I see through my Minds Eye.
As someone so aptly said here on flickr...I see life through a view finder even when I don't have a camara in my hand.

Living in Corpus Christi, Texas for the last 11 months, I find myself drawn to the Water. Love it... Love It...LOVE IT!
In 3 weeks, I'll be moving back to San Antonio.
We'll have to see what draws me next!

My favorite time is Sunset.As you can see from my photostream www.flickr.com/photos/jackieb163/ that is what I capture best.

My favorite colors are purple, orange and blue. (Now that would be some Sunset...hehehehe)

My current favorite photo actually brought tears to my eyes as I was taking it!
The Sunset was Awesome and I captured some of that.

I think the whole point is that a picture should make you feel...something....anything...Happy, Sad, Joy, Mirth, Anger....but FEEL SOMETHING!
Life itself...that day to day stuff...can beat you down if you let it
.Don't Let It!

But I am also trying to stretch a little and do things I haven't before.

Life led me here.
My son talked me into it. (I needed some where to store my pics)
Curiosity led me to check out some groups.
T Glow and jeffclow (just to name a few) gave me inspiration and encouragement...I mean here we two total strangers (Their photostreams...OMG!)...they saw something in my pics they liked...what a thrill!

I've always jokingly said that I don't know what I want to be when i grow up.
Well... I hope i never grow up...but i can tell you that Photography will be a major part of
My Next 40 Years!
